Founded in 1957 by philosopher Gaston Berger and Rector Jean Capelle in Villeurbanne (Lyon metropolitan area), France, INSA Lyon is France's leading post-baccalaureate engineering school and the oldest of the seven INSA Group institutions. With 6,219 students (28% international) and 22 internationally recognized research centers, the institute excels in engineering training combined with strong humanist values, offering programs across nine departments including biotechnology, civil engineering, computer science, mechanical engineering, and telecommunications.
