The Institut national du patrimoine was founded in 1990 as École nationale du patrimoine and renamed in 2001, located in Paris and Aubervilliers, France. It is a public higher education institution under the French Ministry of Culture, unique in Europe for training both heritage curators and conservators-restorers. The institute specializes in seven conservation-restoration areas including earthenware, graphic arts and books, textile arts, furniture, painting, photography, and sculpture.
