Founded on January 1, 2012, through the merger of three regional universities, Aix-Marseille University is the largest multidisciplinary institution in the French-speaking world located across Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, and seven other cities in southern France. With nearly 80,000 students including 12,000 international students, it excels across five major sectors including Arts, Law, Economics, Health, and Science, and is research-intensive with 122 research structures organized into five interdisciplinary clusters.
